As the Agents are one of the important stakeholders of the real estate business, they have to be upgraded and learn the needs of the customers to help and serve them more professionally. RERA has bought a lot of new rules and controls for this business and has made Agents equally responsible for making a customer-centric business and also protecting their interests.

Therefore, to bring a certain level of consistency in the practices of real estate agents and enhance knowledge and awareness of regulatory framework and practices, MahaRERA has introduced a Capacity Building and Certification Program for Real Estate Agents.

In many countries, including the USA, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, etc, Real Estate Agents need to undergo professional training and certification before practicing their profession. ( Just Like any other profession like CA, Lawyer, CS, etc.)

It is mandatory for all the brokers or agents involved in selling new real estate properties (residential, commercial, retail, and plotted properties). Even if you are registered with MahaRERA, you have to undergo this training to renew your MahaRERA registration.

MahaRERA has designed this course for 20 hours and has made it mandatory for all the agents to undergo Agent Training Program through licensed training partners like NAREDCO- REMI.

You will learn the roles and responsibilities of Agents, Promoters, and allottees in detail so that you can service your customer well. You will also understand the real estate market and the best practices. At the end of the course, you will undergo a mock test and after passing the mock test, a NAREDCO-REMI certificate will be issued as a testimonial of your course completion.

If you are not a certified agent, the developers will not involve you in project sales. Today customers are also well-informed, they may not be interested to deal with unregistered agents. Thus you will lose business and credibility in the market.

MahaRERA has made this mandatory training for all real estate agents. After completing 20 hrs of training you have to undergo a mock test and qualify with 60% marks and 70% attendance to appear for MahaRERA’s Real Estate Agents Certification Exam. The training institute will issue a certificate of attendance and will share all the details with the MahaRERA authority.

Thereafter agents have to register with MahaRERA with appearing for Real Estate Agents Certification Exam.

There are no prerequisites for anyone for this training. For online training, you have to register yourself by paying the requisite training fee online. You need to have a computer with a stable internet connection. You will receive the login details for the batch you have selected.

According to the MahaRERA advisory, 60% is the passing percentage for the mock exam conducted by the training institutes. If you receive less than 60% marks, you have to appear for the mock exam again after a week. During these 7 days, Agents have to go through the handbook and the Maharera website again and again to remember the learnings.

If you have missed the sessions, we will share the recordings only for 3 sessions. This is to ensure that you have 100% attendance and learning.

MahaRERA has prescribed a handbook for the Agents in English and Marathi and they will be shared with the participants at the end of the training. After each session, agents will get the pdf notes on the topic covered in the session.

MahaRERA has made this training mandatory for all the agents and salespeople involved in the sales process. Even if you are MahaRERA registered Agent, you have to undergo this training first before appearing for MahaRERA’s Real Estate Agents Certification Exam. You have to update your certification details along with the registration number on the MahaRERA website.

This certificate number will be important for renewing your MahaRERA Agents Registration.

Yes, it is compulsory for everyone in the sales process to get trained and certified.

If you are only doing a renting business or are involved in secondary sales, you don’t have to undergo this training. However, it is advisable to learn and upgrade your skills. Soon the buyers or the allottees will prefer to work with skilled and qualified agents.

MahaRERA Certificate is valid for 5 years and the agent needs to undergo the exam again to review your skills.

MahaRERA has prescribed a handbook in a PDF format and the same will be shared with the participants after the training.

It is a public document, therefore you can print this handbook for your reference.

MahaRERA’s agents’ training programs are conducted in Marathi, English, and Hindi languages. However, faculty are trained to meet the requirements of the participants and can have instructions in a mix of two or three languages. Marathi sessions will have a mix of Marathi, Hindi, and English words.
